High fashion is fun and glamorous, but streetwear is where the magic happens! You can find similar trends cross over and influence each other, but there’s something about streetwear that I draw my inspiration and fashion from!
It’s free spirited and personality driven, which is why I love to style and coordinate my wardrobe! If your wanting some streetwear inspiration or new items to add to your wardrobe, here’s what this seasons streetwear fashion trends are looking like!
1. Y2K
Y2K influence has dominated the runway on and off. It’s a re-emerging trend that we can note baggier fits, such as denim, chinos, and joggers. Headscarf’s, feathers, track suits, and more have also been seen in recent years.
2. Preppy
This high fashion trend has trickled down to streetwear and has been a streetwear trend since the emergence of collegiate themes! You can find a variety of different looks, with the most popular being, sweater vests, polos, varsity jackets, or loafers!
3. Feathers
In recent years feathers have been making a comeback and have continued to add a certain flare to fashion! You don’t have to go full on feather, but a little detail can elevate an outfit from fad to fab!
4. Skirt Suits
Matching suits have been seen on and off the runway. Spotted on our favorite celebrities, from pastel tones to plaid fabrics, you can expect this trend to be a hit for the summer!
5. Gender Neutral
You can expect to see a high rise of gender neutral clothing this season, especially in bold to pastel colors! Oversized shirts, blazers, and trousers, are among a few of the items I’ve seen thus far!
6. Hand bags
Small hand held bags like Jaquemus, or 90’s inspired shoulder bags are all the rage this season! Spotted in an array of colorful options to the most monotone shades. You can bet this is a must have item this season!
7. Squared Sunglasses
Squared sunglasses are one of the hottest trends this season and a must have for streetwear! Pair these shades with your next streetwear look and your sure to elevate your look!
