Aloha ladies! I just returned from my trip to O’ahu and, let me tell you, it was a much-needed vacay! It was my second trip this year and my first tropical vacation! We went for a timeshare trip, which saved us so much money! If you haven’t been to a timeshare presentation, they try to sell you a vacation package. Some of our family members have a timeshare and are not huge fans of theirs. It was roughly 4 hours long, but with our family’s guidance, we didn’t buy the timeshare. However, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Hilton Grand Vacations. From the friendly staff to the convenience of location, it was a great place to stay!
We stayed in Honolulu for six nights, and for the first three nights, we rented a car. It allowed us to explore a good portion of the island, which led us to document our stay. From Waikiki to Ka’a’wa, to the north shore, we ate and saw what O’ahu had to offer..

On average, Hawaii gets pretty warm weather. The humidity is much what you would expect from a tropical location’ sticky and hot. It wasn’t unbearable, but I wanted to pack some light and airy looks that screamed: “I’m on vacation.” From the North Shore to the coffee farm to the botanical gardens, this matching set was the perfect casual day look.

Hawaii has many golden gems, and there was one in particular I was dying to visit. I came across The Royal Hawaiian during my search, and it was gorgeous. A head-to-toe pink hotel with stunning views and amenities! Because it was close to the beach and bars, I knew I had to wear something light and interchangeable. Perfect for the beach and a night out!

If you’ve never been to Hawaii, not everything is what you would think it would be. Sure, there are those beautiful hidden spots or luxury restaurants, but Hawaii, like other cities, has those rundown areas. Believe it or not, some of them are local spots with amazing food and quality prices. From local food trucks to a group tour with, AKA (a local guide, who gave us the best beach spots), and farmers markets, we experienced another side of O’ahu!

Prepare yourself for a time difference when visiting O’ahu. We flew in a day early to start getting aquatinted with the hour difference and like many we had some rough nights, when we didn’t go to bed early we hit the Waikiki strip or caught some live entertainment during drinks.
I wanted to make sure I packed some night out looks that were light, yet warm for a surprising breeze. Trendy dresses, off-the-shoulder tops, silky sets, and dreamy skirts were a few of my night-out outfits.

Who knew touring the dole plantation or the Byodo-in Temple would be a sight to see? The endless pineapple fields and famous pineapple ice cream were a highlight of the tour, but being able to see the temple and a family lineage was a spiritual experience everyone should have. That night we had a beautiful candle-lit dinner and I finally had the chance to wear this dress I customized with my hometown tailor on our night out. Let’s just say JR was sad he didn’t get many compliments like I did (lol!)
With so many things to do in O’ahu, you can find something to do! So grab your girls, your family, or your boo, and book yourself a trip to O’ahu! I hope this gave you some inspiration for your next vacation or just some things to check out during your trip! Let me know in the comments what look was your favorite.
