9 Pop Culture Halloween Costume Trends

It’s another year of Halloween gory fun! From spooky costumes to the change of seasons to all the holiday festivities! It’s my favorite time of the year to be whoever you want to be!

This season is no exception, as pop culture continues to influence this season’s costume trends. If you need some costume inspiration, these trends are sure to give you some inspiration!

1. Barbie Core

With the premiere of Barbie, we saw a craze for all things pink! From streetwear to high fashion, Barbie core was everywhere. You can bet you’ll be seeing Barbie look-alikes this Halloween season.

2. The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid is a remake of the original movie, and even with all its controversy, experts say it was beautifully done. If you want to dress up this year as a Disney princess, Ariel is your girl!

3. M3gan

You can thank TikTok for this trend, as M3gan quickly rose to polarity at the beginning of 2023. Which: has confirmed its sequel, soon to be released. If you’re looking for some horror inspiration, then this killer doll is sure to do that.

4. Chevalier

Chevalier is a noteworthy film inspired by a violinist who endured racism and love at the beginning of the French Revolution. A powerful story that was almost lost. If you’re looking for a couple of Halloween outfits, channel your inner Joseph and Marie.

5. Peter Pan & Wendy

Let your inner child flourish in Peter Pan and Wendy! A perfect couple outfit that is sure to let you soar! Halloween is the perfect excuse to let loose.

6. Scream VI

The Scream franchise is still going strong, with over 27 years of horror. Scream VI is a sequel to last year’s Scream. Get spooked this season and channel your favorite scream characters.

7. The Last of Us

One of my favorite TV shows of 2023! If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, you’ll see some similarities, with a few differences! It had a beautiful storyline that was humorous, eye-tearing, and gripping, with moments that had us on the edge of our seats! Dress up this season as your favorite character, a great group costume for you and your friends.

8. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

Love is in the air as the Bridgerton dynasty continues, this time with Queen Charlotte center stage. Channel your inner Charlotte or favorite Bridgerton characters this Halloween season.

9. Carnival Row

Get your makeup ready and channel your inner exotic creature! Carnival Row is another one of my favorite shows, bringing mythology to life! Where humans and beings struggle to coexist.

With so many good movies, TV shows, documentaries, and more, you can find inspiration anywhere! However, I hope this blog has got you thinking of your next Halloween costume! Let me know in the comments what you’re dressing up this year!
